Police officer assaulted at Waffle House

Posted on November 15th, 2010 No Comments

Last Friday, a police officer that was not wearing his uniform was assaulted at the Waffle House on 1015 Texas 6 near Katy Freeway.  The officer was assaulted when trying to stop two men from interacting with a woman at the restaurant.

The incident occurred just after 3 A.M. in west Houston when two men entered the restaurant.  The men reportedly verbally harassed a woman until she stood up and told them to leave her alone.  The men pushed her down and the off-duty officer attempted to intervene.  One of the men then punched the officer in the face.

The men quickly ran out of the restaurant and left in an unidentified car.
