Deputy constable charged with DWI after being found asleep at the wheel

Posted on May 10th, 2012 No Comments

A Houston deputy constable was found asleep at the wheel of his parked car on the side of the road in the 12400 block of StonefieldĀ Manor. The off-duty officer’s son was in the car with him.

After being awoken by officers, he was taken to a nearby hospital, where blood tests showed that he was intoxicated.

Even though he was parked on the side of the road, he was charged with DWI because his motor was running. His fellow officers say that this kind of behavior is uncharacteristic for him, and his record has been described as “impeccable” by Precinct 3 Constable Ken Jones.
